Rose syrup

  • 500 g sugar
  • 0,5 l water
  • 1 l bowl full of rose petals
  • Juice of one lime
Bring the water to a boil, add sugar and mix until the sugar has dissolved. Add the petals to the mixture and squeeze in the lime juice. Leave the mixture in a cool place for 24 hours. Strain, bring to a boil and transfer into sterilised jars.
Rose syrup can be used for drinks and desserts, for example on fruit salad. Chop a peach, add blueberries, peppermint leaves and drizzle with rose syrup.
