- Fresh strawberries
- At least 100 g dark chocolate (for more convenient covering)
- At least 100 g white chocolate
- Decorations (chopped nuts, coconut flakes, cookie crumbs, seeds, etc.)
- Grill skewers
- Sugar to hold the skewers
Wash the strawberries and pat them dry carefully. Stick the berries on the skewers so that the end of the skewer would be more or less in the middle of the berry. Melt the chocolate in a small bowl, add a teaspoon (or more) of oil to thin out the chocolate and achieve an even and shiny result. Dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate while holding them by the skewer. The strawberries may be covered completely or partially, as I did. Allow excess chocolate to drip off and cover the berry with coconut flakes, chopped nuts or melted chocolate of a different colour. When you are finished, stick the skewers in a cup filled with sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
