Strawberry and lemon curd trifle
- Savoiard biscuits or some sponge cake
- 200 ml strawberry purée (strawberries puréed with sugar)
- 100 g sliced strawberries
- 200 ml lemon spread
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 2–3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
To prepare this dessert, you should have some lemon spread. If you do not have any, you will certainly find a recipe you like on the Internet. You can also replace Savoiard biscuits with home-made sponge cake.
Purée the strawberries and whip the cream with sugar and vanilla extract. Once the preparations have been made, take dessert bowls or glasses and start layering the treat into them.
Put the biscuits or sponge at the bottom of the bowls, then pour some strawberry purée on top and add some chopped strawberries. Then add a layer of lemon cream and whipped cream and repeat the process. If possible, refrigerate the dessert overnight to allow the flavours to mingle.
